ATF Agent Critical After Being Shot In Face, Manhunt Underway For Suspect

The federal officer is listed in critical condition. Guglielmi says officers returned fire, but it is unclear if the gunman was shot.

Chicago police and the ATF were working together early Friday morning when the incident occurred. The shooting took place in the 4500 Block of South Hermitage in the city's Back of the Yards neighborhood. Find someone to meet us.

Officials said the agent is part of a joint task force with the ATF, Chicago Police Department and Illinois State Police investigating the flow of illegal firearms into the Windy City, the Chicago Tribune reported. "Believe me, you will not get away with this".
