Fired FBI Director Comey and President Trump Trade Insults

Comey delivers the keynote remarks at the Intelligence and National Security Alliance Leadership Dinner

Washington:Former FBI Director James Comey in his first exclusive interview since he was sacked last May said Donald Trump is "morally unfit" to be the President of the US.

In an excerpt shown on Saturday, Mr Comey said his belief that Hillary Clinton would win the 2016 presidential election was a factor in his decision to disclose the investigation into her emails.

Daniels's interview contained a startling claim that she was threatened in a Las Vegas parking lot to keep quiet about her alleged affair with the future president. Where Comey talks about gradually filling a reservoir, the trademark Trump move, straight from the swamp, has been to strike deals based on shaky promises and then promptly burn through whatever credibility he brought to the table. "It was smaller than mine, but did not seem unusually so".

The report states, in part, "We concluded that McCabe's decision to confirm the existence of the [Clinton Foundation] investigation through an anonymously sourced quote, recounting the content of a phone call with a senior department official in a manner created to advance his personal interests at the expense of department leadership, was clearly not within the public interest exception".

"I suspect his apparent inability to do so is roouted in deep insecurity, his inability to be vulnerable or to risk himself by appreciating the humor of others, which, on reflection, is really very sad in a leader, and a little scary in a president", he wrote.

In an interview with ABC News that aired Sunday night, the fired Federal Bureau of Investigation chief says he could not discount the possibility that Russian Federation might have something on the president.

But Trump said in a tweet before the interview aired that he never asked for personal loyalty. "My loyalty's supposed to be to the American people and to the institution", Comey said in the interview.

We know that the President is a slimeball for many, many reasons.

But she also said that to help ensure fairness and the perception of fairness, "a special master might have some role here". He bent over backwards to deny the relationship, claiming nothing more than a few harmless chit-chats over real estate.

Mr Mueller's probe has expanded to include whether Mr Trump obstructed justice by firing Mr Comey, which the president denies.

In the book, Comey described POTUS's orange hue, his carefully groomed hair, his too-long tie, and the size of those hands of which Trump had boasted during the campaign.

Trump and the Republicans have sought to stifle the impact of his book by accusing Comey of leaking classified materials and of corruptly handling the 2016 investigation into Clinton. Truth and cogency aren't exactly the president's strong suit.

"The establishment is still furious that Trump won".

Comey was so confused by this he even went on YouTube months later, to try and track down video evidence of Trump chuckling - and could only find one. In a television program broadcast on Sunday night, Comey called Trump "morally unfit to be president".

Comey answered, "I hope not because I think impeaching and removing Donald Trump from office would let the American people off the hook and have something happen indirectly that I believe they're duty-bound to do directly".

The president is said to be looking at whether to dismiss Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who appointed Mueller, and perhaps other ways to limit or somehow end the Russian Federation investigation.

Almost 7 in 10 Americans support tougher US sanctions against Russian Federation, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll that also finds roughly half the public saying President Donald Trump has done "too little" to criticize Russian Federation for alleged violations of global law.
