REPORT: Eagles CB Daryl Worley arrested near team facility

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reports that Worley, who's in his first season with the Eagles, was arrested at 6 a.m. E.T. this morning.

"We are in the process of gathering more information about Daryl Worley's arrest [Sunday] morning", the Eagles announced.

Worley reportedly resisted arrest and fought with police before being tased by officers and taken into custody.

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley was arrested early Sunday morning after he reportedly fell asleep in his auto while driving on the freeway. Per Garofolo, the incident occurred near the Eagles' team facility.

Jaguar Land Rover to cut jobs and production - and to blame Brexit
The automaker saw a 26% drop in sales in the United Kingdom in the first three months of 2018 while sales in Germany fell 32%. Earlier this year, it said it would cut production amid uncertainty over Brexit and changes to taxes on diesel cars.

Allegedly, Worley was found with a gun in his possession and police had to use a taser in order to subdue him for arrest. He was a third-round pick out of West Virginia in 2016.

Rapoport added more details.

Worley, 23, is a Philadelphia native who returned home last month when the Birds acquired him in a trade with the Panthers.

Rapoport tweeted that Worley was passed out in his vehicle near Broad and Pattison Streets, blocking a highway. It doesn't sound good.
