Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson not ready for politics just yet

Dwayne Johnson attends the 2018 LA Family Housing Awards at The Lot Studios on Thursday

2018 seems to be the year for Nigeria in Hollywood as the nation has continued to earn positive recognition from the worldwide movie industry.

Director Brad Peyton and star Dwayne Johnson's latest collaboration Rampage smashes its way into United Kingdom cinemas today, and ahead of its release, Flickering Myth's Thomas Harris caught up with the filmmaker to discuss his adaptation of the classic arcade game, employing motion capture technology, and whether he's interested in a sequel.

Dwayne Johnson's upcoming film "Rampage" is a ridiculously fun monster movie that also has plenty of heart, TheWrap's Beatrice Verhoeven and Umberto Gonzalez say.

He replied to a tweet by a Nigerian man Wale Adetona, explaining how he came about the character. I will simply say it is worth seeing when you want to be titillated and no more, when you want to see Johnson make an interspecies amusing bromance with a congenial, motion-captured albino gorilla, George (and they are amusing together), fight a giant lizard names Lizzie, and not feature his muscles as you might expect.

Donovan Mitchell's crossover on Draymond Green liked by Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook
Mitchell, however, recently poked some fun at Simmons by wearing a sweatshirt with the definition of "rookie" printed on it. Both teams have a shot at clinching the third spot in their respective conferences on the final night of the season.

New Mexico Sending 250 National Guardsmen to Border
Ducey supports finishing a wall on Arizona's border with Mexico, but stopped short of saying the National Guard should build it. He said the country should be focusing on security and economic cooperation "without further militarizing border communities".

Someone on Twitter noted that Johnson's movie character was named Okoye and was Nigerian.

But the film's big standout is Jason Liles' mo-cap performance as George the albino gorilla, who ends up becoming one of the film's giant rampaging creatures. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry transforms this gentle ape into a raging monster.

Yes sir, happy you picked up on that. To make matters worse, it's soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals.
