Trump on firing Mueller: 'We'll see what happens'

SPECIAL COUNSEL Robert Mueller could ensnare President Trump in any misstatements

Earlier in Monday's press gaggle, Trump talked about the fact that the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided the office of Michael Cohen, "one of my personal attorneys, good man, and it's a disgraceful situation", Trump said. "Well, I think it's a disgrace what's going on".

The New York Times wrote Monday evening that Mueller's team is investigating the circumstances around the payment, which came after Trump addressed a September 2015 conference via satellite and answered questions for 20 minutes.

The raid creates a new legal headache for Trump even as he and his attorneys weigh whether to agree to an interview with Mueller's team, which in addition to investigating potential ties between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign is also examining whether the president's actions constitute obstruction of justice.

The news comes after Trump on Monday dismissed Mueller's investigation as "disgraceful", a "witch hunt" and "an attack on our country". It's an attack on our country in a true sense.

Trump's comments came shortly after the Federal Bureau of Investigation reportedly raided the office and hotel room of his personal attorney, Michael Cohen, on Monday afternoon.

Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer of NY released a statement warning Trump against firing Mueller. We'll see what occurs, however I believe it is actually a tragic scenario whenever you take a look at what occurred. Documents were seized in the raid that took place even though Cohen "cooperated completely" with Mueller's office, he said.

Trump referred to the investigators, or perhaps the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as the "most biased group of people", and said they have "the biggest conflicts of interest I have ever seen".

Cohen is now a subject of scrutiny in two criminal investigations, one of which is being overseen by the SDNY and the other by Mueller's office.

Markets might be able to shrug off trade concern if there's a good jobs report this morning or an agreement on Nafta, he says. Leading the decline were airplane giant Boeing, which fell 3.1%, and heavy-equipment maker Caterpillar, which declined 3.5%.

The harsh tone of Trump's comments immediately drew warnings from lawmakers on Capitol Hill, who have sought to preserve Mueller's independence.

"And many people have said, 'You should fire him.'" Trump added.

Mueller began investigating the Pinchuk donation after receiving documents in response to a subpoena issued to the Trump Organization - the real estate company Trump ran before entering politics.

Trump has repeatedly stated he wouldn't have appointed Sessions if he knew he wouldn't oversee the Russian Federation investigation and has routinely said the action directly led Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to appoint a special counsel. Democrats, and more than a few Republicans on Capitol Hill, refuse to accept that the irretrievably corrupt Democrat Hillary Clinton was flattened by Republican Trump in a fair fight.

For example, MSNBC's often freaky Joy Reid devoted a segment of her show to exploring what could happen if the president refused to be questioned by Mueller.

"What within the title of God is Mueller doing?" the supply instructed Roberts. Mueller's investigators have also been inquiring about money coming in from the United Arab Emirates.

Cohen has extra not too long ago attracted consideration for his acknowledgment that he paid Daniels $130,000 out of his personal pocket simply days earlier than the 2016 presidential election.

Trump was asked for his reaction hours later, as he hosted a military leadership meeting at the White House.
