India Vows To End TB By 2025

This is five years ahead of the 2030 deadline set by other countries. The main focus this year is on building commitment to end TB. This needs to accelerate to a 4-5% annual decline to reach the 2020 milestones of the End TB Strategy.

Success rate of treatment in the country is 95 percent, but around 33 percent of TB patients can not be reached, they said at a press conference organised by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, National TB Control Programme (NTP), and Brac on the occasion of World TB Day, to be observed tomorrow, said a press release.
