Faith or fate? A look at Loyola's unbelievable NCAA tourney run

Loyola Chicago makes Final Four extending improbableĀ run

Jean Delores-Schmidt, who is 98 years young, has been the team chaplain since 1994. She still compiles notes on Loyola-Chicago's opponents and will warn the team about different players during their pregame huddle.

"He was a warrior", said Loyola coach Porter Moser.

"I love all the appreciation", said Williamson, a Chicago product.

As for the Ramblers, Sister Jean and Co. have pulled upsets of No. 6 seed Miami, No. 3 seed Tennessee and finally No. 7 seed Nevada in the Sweet 16. It seemed like they might be vulnerable against the TAMU team that had just dominated North Carolina, but instead the Wolverines shot the lights out and the game way over by halftime.

This Loyola team will go down in its history for its big shots.

"I would be very careful to say that God picks sides, but if God happens to be nudging us in this direction going toward the Final Four, we'll take it", he said. Meanwhile, the Seminoles have been getting contributions from all over on offense, which keeps everyone fresh while making them tough to defend. The team that finished fourth in the Big 12 is one win away form being one of four teams in the country left standing.

"I think Marcus Townes is the best player on the court tonight", said Loyola guard Clayton Custer. Townes launched his 3-pointer from in front of the Loyola bench with the shot clock about to expire. It was Townes' time.

Townes, who had 18 points, charged down the court following the shot, pumping his fist.

The same word applies to the way Loyola played the second half with its season on the line. No. 9 Kansas State also has posted three straight victories over the Ramblers, including a 74-61 victory as 14-point home chalk in their last meeting in November 2011, but has failed to cover in its past two.

Avengers: Infinity War Will Be the Longest Marvel Film

Defamation case against Trump to move forward
Maria Glover, a law professor at Georgetown University, said that the decision will nearly certainly go to appeal. If the suit moves to trial, Trump's attorneys would need to prove that his comments didn't amount to defamation.

Nevada's experience in second-half comebacks paid off.

Caleb Martin's made three-pointer cut the Ramblers lead to one at 69-68 but there was no more magic for the Wolf Pack as they fell 69-68 to the Ramblers in the round of 16 thus ending the Wolf Pack's season at 29 wins against eight losses. During an early timeout as Loyola looked for answers, Moser lit into his team with a message that sounded familiar.

"I'll probably remember it for the rest of my life", Townes said.

Townes sealed that date against Nevada, becoming the latest hero for Loyola.

The Ramblers closed the half with a 20-4 run as Nevada didn't score in the final 7:55 before the break. Call it just being into the game I guess.

Ninety years and 1,900 miles separate the two superstars of this year's NCAA Tournament.

"We talk about faith, we have trust, we have confidence, this is a gift from God", Pastor Hurley said. The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, in conjunction with Loyola University Chicago, Friday unveiled an officially licensed, limited edition Sister Jean bobblehead.

"I don't feel like anyone should pay attention to seeds because they are just opinions, you know?"
