WWE: Daniel Bryan cleared to return to in-ring action

Hours after it was announced that Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared to return to the WWE after being forced to retire due to brain injuries, the wrestler appeared on SmackDown and gave an emotional speech about his recovery.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio this afternoon that Bryan had went to Dr. Joseph Maroon, one of WWE's doctors that would not clear him, and asked him what he needed to do to get cleared.

Bryan was a fan's favourite on the indie scene long before he joined WWE but was never expected to be one of the main guys, he made his way up the card and into the fans hearts and by Wrestlemania 30 he was the man.

Looking for something new? It's likely that Bryan's wrestling schedule for the WWE will be just for TV and PPV events going forward. On top of that, the news comes less than three weeks before this year's WrestleMania.

Bryan though fought back bringing back the Yes Kicks and with a barrage of hesitation drop kicks to both Zayn and Owens to the corner posts, made a huge statement upon his return. That announcement came shortly after he was cleared by an independent doctor but couldn't get the WWE to sign off. This is the highlight of the WWE SmackDown Live 20 March episode.

Britain, EU agree Brexit transition deal
Today's draft agreement on transitional arrangements is supposed to give businesses some degree of short-term reassurance. That means solving outstanding issues, notably how to avoid a "hard border" that could disrupt peace in Northern Ireland .

Bryan is now free to compete as much as WWE wants to use him, and as much as he'd like to work. The first step of this was that Bryan was given a list of doctors to see - if he saw them and got the green light, then he would receive approval from Dr.

The assumption is that WWE pulled the trigger on giving him medical clearance because they needed him to compete alongside Shane McMahon against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

Fans will now be waiting to see what the plan is for Bryan at Wrestlemania 34, which takes place in New Orleans on April 8. The WWE universe has welcomed his return. The now-cleared Bryan was quick to point out how effective his wife was in pushing him to do all he needed to return to his passion.

Buddy Peacock and Lloyd Bonaire were among the suggestions, but they eventually settled on Daniel Bryan - which sounds oddly normal when you've got people named the Undertaker, Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin. All that matters is WWE's biggest underdog is back, picking up right where he left off and ready to wrestle for as long as he can.
