NFL Draft: What picks do the Jets have left?

The Jets' Trade Means the Browns Cannot Take Saquon Barkley at No. 1

At least not yet. But if the Browns have their eye on a QB and absolutely want to make sure they get him, they could draft him at No. 1 and hope Barkley is available at their No. 4 selection.

The last time the Jets drafted an offensive player in Round 1, which they surely will do again this year, was 2009. We know that the Bills will take a quarterback but who is the question. He became a starter for the Titans early in his rookie season and was a consistent playmaker during his four years with the team.

Given the Jets' desperation for a quarterback, it's surprising they did not try to secure a trade up higher than the third overall selection, but I think there's something we can read into there besides just the fact that the Jets don't make trades with the Giants. (Especially with rumblings that the Bills were looking to jump ahead of the Jets with a trade.) At No. 3, it's a virtual certainty.

Five years ago, it cost Miami only an additional second-round pick to elevate in a swap of first-round picks from No. 12 to No. 3.

The Broncos may draft a quarterback but it could be in round two or three.

The Jets have re-signed Josh McCown, who will likely head into the offseason programs as the starting quarterback, but both he and Bridgewater are on one-year deals.

The Cowboys also plan to move Byron Jones back to cornerback in 2018 after he started the past two seasons at safety. And the Colts were a very willing trade back partner. Out of all these teams, how many are in dire need of a quarterback? The Colts, Buccaneers, Bears, 49'ers, and Raiders.

For the Colts, they now have nine picks overall and appear to be in a rebuilding phase after going 4-12 and missing the playoffs for the third straight year.

The Colts' gains were the Jets' losses.

Jets Acquire Third Pick In Draft From Colts
Just when you thought the offseason was hitting a lull, the New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts drop a stunner of a trade on us. In recent days, general manager Mike Maccagnan has attended the pro days of Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield and UCLA's Josh Rosen .

-The Los Angeles Chargers addressed their ailing kicking game by signing Caleb Sturgis to a two-year contract, the team announced.

The Giants are in a position of power with the No. 2 overall pick. The Cardinals are spending $20 million on Sam Bradford but they are not necessarily committed.

The move up puts them in prime position to select one of the draft's top quarterbacks, but they have given up a lot to ascend just three spots! They will search later in the draft.

The Jets might not have the same top three quarterbacks as me.

The Dolphins' AFC East rivals, in other words, want their quarterback of tomorrow right now.

While it's completely a guess at this point and will be until draft day, it is possible given the way the draft is shaping up at the top.

Taylor's measurables and skill set could also be an indication that they're leaning in the direction of Mayfield over names like Darnold, Rosen and Allen.

A number of teams reportedly have shown interest in Pryor despite a disappointing season with the Washington Redskins in 2017. Miami could have their choice between Tremain Edmunds and Roquan Smith. "Plus, being able to pick up the two twos this year and the two next year that gives us four picks this year in the top 50 picks of the draft and then three picks next year, one in the first and two in the second".
