Apple to host 29th Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose

Apple will unveil the next generation of iOS and MacOS on June 4th

The Worldwide Developers Conference, or WWDC, for 2018 will be held in San Jose, California, much like a year ago and is scheduled for June 4-8. However, Apple hasn't been shy about teasing new hardware at the event too, even with its software focus. Developers who are interested in attending must first register for the event - that process is open until Thursday, March 22, at 10am PT. By and large though, the move was well-received by developers and easier for Apple engineers due to the venue's proximity to Cupertino, so it's not surprising to see WWDC return to San Jose for 2018.

WWDC 2018 will be held at the McEnery Convention Center, the same location as previous year.

Apple on Tuesday revealed the dates and location for its annual developers conference. The company says it will be letting developers buy tickets by random selection. While not many details have been given surrounding the new software, we did hear a little while ago Apple plans to refine the experience of using iOS 12 while also offering cross-platform compatibility between iOS and macOS.

Engage in motivating conversations around key topics with fellow developers and Apple experts. Up to 350 WWDC Student Scholarships are available this year, providing students and members of all STEM organizations an opportunity to earn a free ticket to WWDC.
