It's National Wear Red Day, and it helps kick off the Go Red For Women campaign that KVRR is proud to sponsor.

There are three ways people can participate in National Wear Red Day. You can visit the Go Red for Women website to donate to the American Heart Association. Heart disease is often generally associated with men, but cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women. While cardiovascular diseases in the US kill approximately one woman every 80 seconds, the good news is 80 percent of cardiac events may be prevented with education and lifestyle changes. Every Macy's customer will get a second pin for free to give to a friend or family member when they buy one this year.
