You Will Soon Be Able To See Snapchat Stories On The Web

Snapchat update lets you share Stories with people who don't even use the app – here's how to use it

The new feature will be available immediately to any iOS and Android Snapchat user running the redesigned Snapchat app.

This can be done using a share link generated in-app, and can be passed around other messaging platforms, internet forums, and other social networks easily. Users can share that content by finding it in the Discover section of the app, and then pressing and holding down on the tile to pull up the new share option.

That means you'll be able to send selected video and photo compilations via text, email, instant message, or share Stories on pretty much any chat or social platform that supports links (say, Twitter or Facebook). Following rumors that popped up in late December, Snapchat is now letting you share Stories outside of the app so you can view them on a mobile or desktop browser. Snapchat's most premium Stories - its original shows and the Publisher Stories produced by media companies - will remain locked within Snapchat's app.

In any case, the company has said that with the new update sharing will be initially available for three types of Stories - Official Stories, Search Stories, and Our Stories.

By enabling people without Snapchat to see Stories from Snapchat, those people may be more likely to download Snapchat's app and use it.
