Apple releases Meltdown patch for macOS El Capitan and High Sierra

The technology giant on Tuesday released a fix for Meltdown, a flaw that can allow an attacker to read protected kernel memory, for the latest versions of macOS Sierra (10.12.6), and OS X El Capitan (10.11.6).

You can find out more details on what is included in the latest version of Apple's macOS at the link below.

On January 23, 2018, Apple released a third set of updates for macOS that backported previous Meltdown patches to older versions of the macOS operating system.

It introduced a patch for both flaws in macOS High Sierra 10.13.2, but Mac computers running older versions of Apple's operating systems were left unprotected - until now, at least.

The users can check the new updates by going into the settings and then software updates.

Still, he was back on court to take the next two 6-3 6-3 and will now face Hyeon Chung, who beat Alex Zverev, in the fourth round. But I think there is a limit, and that is a level of tolerance between being fit and being in danger in terms of health.

Apple previously issued mitigations for the two Spectre flaws along with a temporary (and now superseded) workaround for Meltdown in the days after the bugs were disclosed. It also introduces fixes for several other security issues, according to Apple's support document.

The Spectre and Meltdown attacks are made possible by an underlying vulnerability related to a feature called speculative execution that's been used by almost every computer chip found in PCs, tablets, and smartphones made over the last 20 years. The update means more Mac users will be safe from a vulnerability that affects hundreds of millions of chips made by Intel over the past twenty years. Those running macOS Sierra should look for version 10.12.6. High Sierra also has a patch out. Patches to operating systems are one of the key ways to protect computers.

"Not to minimize the risk".

That said, we can't be certain.
