Man builds an entire auto out of snow, police leave 'fine'

Montrealer makes fake car out of snow to confuse police

The auto looked real enough that at least one police officer drove by to write a ticket for illegal parking.

Simon Laprise, 33, created a full size DeLorean model made out of snow. He took some snow and built a snow auto. The artist and machinist intended the vehicle to be a prank for the snow removal crews but it ended up catching the attention of police.

A Canadian artist decided to make light of a cold situation in the country when he played a trick on snow removers and received the attention of police.

A confused policeman stopped to see if it was real, as cars aren't allowed to be kept in a snow removal zone in Canada. In a nice touch, Laprise found a windshield wiper and put that on the fake windshield to complete the illusion.

Police discovered the "Back to the Future" auto in the middle of the street.

The police apparently enjoyed the prank, writing in a ticket to Laprise in French that read, 'You made our evening'.

The 33-year-old machinist's prank was reportedly plowed clean by Montreal sanitation workers the next day but not before it gave police a amusing story to tell this winter.

Eventually, a snow plow took out the snow-filled Delorean but I wonder what's in the mind of the snowplow driver coming up on a snow covered vehicle.
