Jessica Falkholt's life support switched off days after family's joint funeral

HeartbreakingĀ The tributes come one day after her three family members were laid to rest in Sydney- including her sister Annabelle, 21 and parents Lars, 69 and Vivian, 60

Ms Falkholt and her sister Annabelle were pulled from the crash, as the vehicles went up in flames, but her parents died in the burning auto, along with the 4WD's driver.

Jessica's life support was turned off on Thursday night, media reports, a day after her family was farewelled at a funeral at St Mary's Catholic Church in Concord.

Lars and Vivian died instantly, and Annabelle passed away in hospital three days later.

The Dec. 26, 2017, crash occurred on the New South Wales Coast near Sydney, Australia, and was allegedly caused by a "serial traffic offender" with more than 60 convictions on his record, according to Metro. Jessica was sent to St George's Hospital, where she has undergone multiple surgeries including having part of her skull and her kidney removed.

Last night, the Daily Telegraph revealed Jessica's extended family had made a decision to switch off her life support in the hope that she could be woken from her coma. No decision is made without Jessica's wants in mind.

Vivian Falkholt's brother Paul Ponticello spoke at their funeral, saying he thought he and his sister "would grow old together".

Gerrit Cole reportedly not traded to Astros: 'False rumor'
This trade increases Cole's upside in the wins department, but the move to the American League may offset those potential gains. Earlier this offseason the Yankees were said to be pushing to acquire Gerrit Cole from the Pirates .

Following Wednesday's funeral service, Vivian Falkholt's younger brother Pail Ponticello said: 'It's a day that will be hard to erase from our memory. "Whenever asking how long it would take to drive somewhere I would suggest an average for a normal driver and then add some additional time for the Lars factor".

"Their lives ending on a highway makes absolutely no sense". We always had a good laugh.

Family members of Vivian's family flew from Italy for the service, while a service was also held for Lars in his homeland of Sweden.

It was reported that a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road caused the collision, hitting the Falkholt family head on as they made their way home to Sydney following a short festive break.

Whitall was also reportedly a known drug user, the publication reports.
