Mariah Carey ready for her New Year's Eve do-over

The New Year's Eve co-hosts spoke with US Weekly about Carey signing up for round two for "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest". If you can remember, Mariah stopped singing numerous times throughout her performance and blamed Dick's production for the disaster. The lineup for this year's Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest again includes Mariah Carey, who took to Twitter to lovingly call this year's performance "take 2". "Afterward, she posted a meme of herself on social media with the message "(expletive) happens".

The Dick Clark show will celebrate the new year across America's time zones, heading down to New Orleans with Imagine Dragons, Walk the Moon and Lucy Hale to see 2018 kick off in the Central Time Zone. That was followed by her trying and then giving up on lip syncing to "We Belong Together". And this New Year's Eve, Carey is the headliner and says we can expect something similar to her Las Vegas show - a big production with a full band and backup dancers.

As the final preps are made in New York City's Times Square for the annual New Year's Eve ball drop, ABC is gearing up for an annual tradition. "I'm trying to be a good sport here", she said, adding her own sarcastic review of the performance. She developed a close association with the holiday season through her hit "All I Want for Christmas Is You" and for several years has performed a set of Christmas-themed concerts in NY. "So I'm honored that she said yes, and I'm honored to be a part of a show that is doing something so nice", said the SiriusXM host.

The embassy stressed, however, that the Turkish government has given no assurances to Washington, refuting the USA embassy's earlier claim.

She half-heartedly mimed her way through her hit 'Emotions', in what was meant to be the entertainment climax for the throngs waiting hours in the cold in Times Square.
