Prince Harry jokes around with Barack Obama in radio interview

Prince Harry's interview with former US president Barack Obama will be broadcast by the BBC on December 27

Kensington Palace said the chat, part of Harry's guest editorship of the show, was recorded in Toronto in September during the Invictus Games. "Because I am a slow speaker", Obama asks the prince before an interview that will be aired December 27.

Harry, who was recently at the inaugural summit of the Obama Foundation in Chicago, has become best buds with the Obamas through his work with servicemen and his trips to America.

Twiddling a pen, Harry tells Obama: "You're excited about this, I'm nervous about this, that's what's quite amusing".

"It's fun. I'll interview you if you want", Mr Obama replied.

But Harry was not keen and said: "No, no, let's keep it this way". "Because I'm a slow speaker", the former president asked the prince. Harry assured him that he didn't have to, "but if you start using long pauses between the answers, you're going to get the face", he said, giving the former president a pointed look.
