Following the similar trend, the development team behind the OnePlus 3 and 3T confirmed that they are now officially rolling out the 8.0 update for their smartphones. OnePlus suggested that both devices would be updated together until both of their lives as updated phones. Starting with the launch of the OnePlus 5T, OnePlus will no longer target benchmarks with performance modes that do not represent day-to-day usage. It bumps the Android version to 8.0 Oreo, bringing latest features such as Picture in Picture (PiP), Parallel Apps, Auto-fill, Smart text selection and a new Quick settings design. With every new phone comes new information however, and for the OnePlus 5T benchmarks will look a little bit different than they did with the OnePlus 5. The giant has recently released its much awaited, OnePlus 5T smartphone in the technology market which would also be running on an Android 8.0 Oreo update.

Those who have been holding on to their OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T devices are in for a pleasant surprise, their handsets are all set to receive the Android Oreo update. The software update also includes the Updated security patch for September. "The OTA will reach a small percentage of users today, and we'll begin a broader rollout in a few days". But the update will be available to a limited number of users. And of course, it has an updated security patch for the November month. There is also a Face Unlock feature, which the company claims uses over 100 facial features identity points to unlock the smartphone in 0.4 seconds. With it, the launcher now will als be displaying notification dots after the update. OnePlus says it will deliver Android Oreo to the latest flagship in early 2018. You can manually download and update your phone from there.
