Dimitrov battled to a 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory against Goffin at the O2 Arena in London, while Scherzinger ran the rule over wannabe pop stars on United Kingdom talent show The X Factor.

The Bulgarian sixth seed came into the title decider unbeaten at London's O2 Arena, with a healthy 4-1 head-to-head record against Goffin, including a 6-0, 6-2 win in the round-robin stage.

Goffin will play Roger Federer in the semifinals on Saturday; when the pair last met, at the Swiss Indoors last month, Goffin only managed to claim three games from the World No.2. It was a nervous start as both players failed to hold serve in the opening three games before Goffin settled down to control the opener as Dimitrov struggled with his timing.

Dimitrov had to wait until the eighth game to break back for a second time and a tight set then ended with a fiercely fought battle, the Bulgarian converting his fifth set point on the Goffin serve to prevent a tie-break.

The Belgian opened the match well, acing Federer twice, but he threw away a game point allowing his opponent to swoop in and claim the first game easily.

At 26, Goffin is part of tennis' so-called lost generation, a group of players who have been unable to break the status quo of the Big Four of Nadal, Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, and one now coming under fire from a younger group below, led by Alex Zverev.

A bruising first set went in Sock's favour before Zverev took the second easily. "It was a special week for me - a week with a lot of emotion, a lot of fatigue, but it was fantastic", said the player who became one of only six men to have beaten Federer and Nadal in the same tournament.

Matthew Rycroft, the British ambassador to the United Nations, said it is "absolutely crucial" that the JIM mandate is renewed . Nebenzia said at the time that Moscow wanted to see a JIM report on attacks, which was issued two days later.

"He took the advantage because I served a lot of second serves".

After an hour-long opening set, the two players matched each other in the second until the Belgian broke for 4-3 having survived a break point in the previous game.

Dimitrov made five break and pulled one break point. By winning every match, Dimitrov earned 1500 points from this tournament and will jump up to a career-high world number three tomorrow.

Goffin won back-to-back titles in Shenzhen and Tokyo this season and this week became the first man in two years to defeat both Nadal and Federer at the same tournament.

It was too close to call but two Sock double faults helped Dimitrov break for 5-3. A gruelling contest, but Dimitrov eventually crunched a final deciding set 6-3 victory.

"I'm just looking forward to some time off now, away from the match court, away from the pressure, then hopefully play well in Australia", the 36-year-old said.
