Then, we're riding the rollercoaster temperatures through Thanksgiving day. This will keep rain and snow going Sunday morning but it should help shut it off for most areas away from mountains by early afternoon.

Clouds increase through the day Saturday from west to east ahead of our next system that brings rain and strong winds. Instead of coming in from the south (like on Saturday night) they will be rushing in from the northwest on the backside of the storm. After that, it'll be partly sunny, with a high near 50. This front will usher in gusty north winds and much cooler temperatures. Highs will only be in the middle 50s with wind chills in the upper 40s.

It warns of sustained winds of 15 mph to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. A northwest wind of 8 to 13 miles per hour, gusting as high as 18 miles per hour, will become light northwest after midnight. It'll be enough to spark spotty rain and snow showers.

Mostly clear, with a low around 15. Tuesday will be a cloudy day, but some slick spots will linger on the roads.

The reason why the wind will be so strong is we have a warm front followed by a powerful cold front that will quickly sweep across the region.
