Nadal's participation in Tour finals in the balance

ATP Paris Rafael Nadal tops Cuevas. Goffin reaches London despite a loss

Nadal had the knee strapped during his third-round win over Pablo Cuevas.

He did not say if he would be fit for the Tour Finals in London later this month.

Nadal has already made sure he would finish the year on top of the ATP Rankings and thus he will not be expected to push himself too much to feature in the year-ending event in London. The 31-year-old hasn't confirmed if he will compete, but is set to travel to London on Wednesday.

Nadal started this season ranked No. 9 in the world, but a resurgent year-in which he has won the French Open and the U.S. Open and reached the Australian Open final-will see him end 2017 as the world No. 1, even if he has played his last match.

"For me it's not about London".

Governor, the latter can exercise his veto and citing differences, refer the matter to the President for decision. During the hearing, Mr Subramaniam told the bench that "an elected government can not be without any power".

A far cry from his condition past year, sitting on the sidelines for most of the second half of 2016, nursing a wrist injury and falling to ranking #9, the Mallorican native focused on the opening of his new tennis academy, inviting his also-injured friend and rival, Roger Federer, to appear in the opening ceremony.

That is the only possible explanation for why a Paris Masters security guard failed to recognise 16-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal.

"And I just think the level of tennis he is playing is a really high level with the exception of one or two points against Isner".

The 35-year-old had not managed a win over a top-10 player since 2014 before this week, but has now claimed two in as many days after knocking out seventh seed David Goffin in the last 16. "I did one treatment yesterday night to try and play today".

Both players exchanged breaks early in the first set, but Nadal managed to carve out a 4-2 lead.
