At least six people were killed and several others injured in a powerful explosion at a gas station in Madina district in Ghana's capital Accra on Sunday.
A witness said the fire began at a station that sells liquefied natural gas and spread to a petrol station across the street.
President Nana Akufo-Addo issued condolences to the relatives of those killed and said the government would work to ensure such incidents don't happen again.
Police said the blasts happened in the Atomic Junction roundabout area of Legon in northeast Accra at about 1930 GMT. There were also 35 injured and five were in intensive care overnight.
In all, seven persons, as at midday Sunday, had been confirmed dead, with as many as 130 people suffering varying degrees of injuries.
