A Police spokesman in a statement said the slain terrorist was returning to Kashmir from Pakistan to take command of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen following the "wiping up of Hizbul Mujahideen" from north Kashmir. He later founded his own groups Lashkar e- Islam and carried out a series of militant activities in the valley.
