Waste Management resume garbage collection after Irma

Bluffton: Waste Management Trash/Recycling resumes regular schedule tomorrow

The City of North Port will also resume solid waste pickup on Wednesday for customers normally serviced by Waste Management on the Wednesday schedule. Recycling and horticulture will not be picked up yet.

Rodriguez hopes collections of storm debris will begin by the weekend.

Do not use bags for yard waste (it makes it impossible to recycle mulch).

Separately, Rodriguez is finalizing agreements with two companies that will be picking up hurricane-related debris, including trees, limbs, branches, fences, shingles, other roofing material, lumber, siding and boat docks.

Yard waste from this storm event does not need to be bundled. Recycling collection has been suspended. And debris pickup may not occur on your normal collection day.

Only debris generated by the storm event on maintained residential property is eligible for collection.

Household garbage must be placed in a 40-gallon can or heavy mil plastic bag each weighing no more than 50 pounds.

Yard waste collection will be suspended until vegetative storm debris has been collected.
