New to this year's Summer Games is the ranked mode in Lucio ball with changes to some core gameplay.

Blizzard revealed the return of the Summer Games event to Overwatch on August 8 through a tweet, which came with a picture that also teases the return of Lucioball.

We'll get the rest of the information on the Summer Games 2017 up for you in a jiffy.

A year ago heroes like Torbjorn, Mercy, Genji and Zarya got a single skin that represented their country to celebrate the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Also on the agenda: matchmaking in the new Lucioball is a bit odd, drawing on your competitive skill rating, which is like sorting a pro football league according to the players' fidget spinning abilities. That means players can buy last year's legendary tier skins for 1,000 credits instead of the usual 3,000 for event-exclusive legendary skins, and 250 instead of 750 for epic skins.
