A rescue official told PTI that an explosive device hidden inside the truck went off at around 9 pm local time.

Initial reports indicate that a truck loaded with fruits got tangled with high tension wires which caused the explosion.

Jam Sajjad Hussain, a rescue service spokesman, told AFP that at least three of the injured were in a critical condition. "At least 34 people have been injured, a lot of them were passerby", Sumbal said, adding that the injured have been taken to two hospitals.
