LeBron James 'frustrated' with Cavaliers' offseason

1:42 | NBA Here's why a Carmelo Anthony deal to Rockets makes sense

According to a new report from USA Today, a source "close to situation" says James is "concerned" and "frustrated" by the fact that the Cavs have done absolutely nothing to close the gap between themselves and the Warriors.

Of course, it's easy to blame Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert because he made the decision to part ways with general manager David Griffin and vice president Trent Redden during a critical time in the offseason. It should be noted that the Warriors gave general manager Bob Myers an extension and promotion after losing to the Cavs in the 2016 Finals. Thus far, the Cavs offseason signings have included Jeff Green, Jose Calderon, Kyle Korver and Cedi Osman, but they missed out on guys like Paul George and Jimmy Butler, which reportedly hasn't sat well with LeBron James. That's a cause for concern for the organization because this may push him to leave the city of Cleveland once again when he becomes a free agent next season. The Boston Celtics landed star forward Gordon Hayward, while the Houston Rockets paired All-Star James Harden with star point guard Chris Paul.

"Like I said, we're in a peculiar place", Irving answered. Butler was later traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Joe Biden's memoir is coming out November 14 and it will be called " Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and objective ". Biden has previously said he regrets not running for president, as he believes he could have won. "I still count myself lucky".

With Simmons, Joel Embiid, Markelle Fultz, J.J. Redick, Robert Covington, Dario Saric, and a ton of cap space, maybe Philadelphia is truly a realistic destination for James. James has a player option on his contract for 2018/19 season and he will most likely decide to opt out and test free agency once again.

Crawford wasn't changing the Cavaliers' fortunes in a meaningful way, but James thought he would make the team better and the Cavaliers didn't get him.

On June 19, three days before the National Basketball Association draft, Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert let general manager David Griffin walk - leaving the Cavaliers without a full-time GM before the busiest parts of the offseason. However, the Cavaliers only offered Crawford the minimum $2.3 million salary, even though they had the taxpayer midlevel exception of $5.19 million available.
