Portugal coach Fernando Santos gives Bernardo Silva ankle injury update

Adrien Silva scored an extra-time penalty as Portugal recovered from a goal down to beat Mexico 2-1 in Sunday's third-place play-off at the Confederations Cup in Moscow.

Mexico opened the scoring in the 54th minute when Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez dribbled inside the penalty area to the goalline before chopping a cross in front of goal, and Portugal defender Luis Neto inadvertently deflected the ball into his own net, while under pressure from Carlos Vela.

The win came after Pepe saved his side with an equaliser in the 91st minute, hurling himself at a cross to knock the ball past Man of the Match Guillermo Ochoa with the sole of his boot.

Portugal's Nelson Semedo and Mexico's Raul Jimenez got red cards during the second extra time.
